The most confusing thing about OO-CSS is its name and some of the terminology used which is borrowed from Object Oriented programming.
It might have been better to have called Component Based CSS because it is way of composing layouts out of components which have no coupling to each other. Instead of true inheritance, new components can be extended through compositing.
